Lead DevOps Engineer

Introduction

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Staff DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team at a leading entertainment company. You will play a key role in shaping our DevOps culture, bridging the gap between Development and Platform Engineering and implementing innovative solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading technologies to solve complex problems in our multi-cloud environment.

This role goes beyond technical execution — we’re looking for a strategic leader who can own projects end-to-end, architect scalable solutions and champion DevOps excellence across teams. You’ll be the technical face of DevOps, driving cross-functional collaboration and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management.
• Architect and implement robust infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Automate tasks and optimize workflows to continuously improve our DevOps processes.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and application performance.
• Partner with Development and Product teams to understand their needs and identify opportunities for DevOps adoption.
• Lead DevOps initiatives and own the outcome of key projects from inception to delivery.
• Break down complex projects into actionable Jira tasks and drive execution with clarity and accountability.
• Serve as the technical liaison for DevOps across engineering and product teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Share knowledge and solutions with the broader team through documentation, presentations and technical deep-dives.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as the go-to resource for guidance, troubleshooting and career development.
• Stay up to date on the latest DevOps trends and best practices.

Requirements 

• 10+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and delivering high-impact outcomes.
• Strong programming experience with Python or Go.
• Expertise in CI/CD principles and automation tools.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their associated services (e.g.,CDN, CND Edge, ECS, EKS, Batch services).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, PagerDuty).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on documentation and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to break down technical work into structured Jira tasks and manage execution effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor and inspire team members.
• A passion for developer productivity, tooling and continuous improvement.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with streaming tools like Mux, Akamai and watermarking is a plus.
• Programming background with DevOps strength is highly preferred.
• Self-motivation, outstanding communication skills and a great team-player attitude who can “switch hats” comfortably and effectively.
• Ready to work in Shift- 5.30 PM to 2.30 AM IST
