Case Study | Building the ultimate digital experience for Filipino sports fans

Background

In 2023, Cignal TV, the Philippines’ leading premium content provider launched Pilipinas Live, a sports streaming
platform. The intent was to ‘reshape the landscape of sports viewing’ offering the ultimate digital experience to
Filipino sports enthusiasts – anytime, anywhere across popular platforms & screens. Robosoft was chosen as the
front-end development partner to deliver delightful streaming experiences across platforms.

The Robosoft solution

In order to enable a faster go-to-market, we leveraged the Quickplay platform for application development. The
Quickplay platform is designed to build and run scalable applications in the cloud using cloud-native technologies,
including containers, microservices, a service mesh, APIs, and immutable infrastructure.

We also researched and developed interactive features designed for better customer engagement during live
streaming of sports events. We integrated with LiveLike, an audience engagement platform that transforms
digital users into engaged fans through customized, interactive experiences such as polls, quizzes and mini games.

We chose relevant technologies for various platforms & devices, including rapid UI development for Apple TV
using React Native.
