We were tasked to develop an Android application and an Admin Panel from the ground up. The Admin Panel was to act as the control panel of the application – to activate new games and customize existing games.
Since all the games are activated in the Admin Panel, users can just play them without having to download them each time. During the course of the project we were given an additional requirement to develop a Rumble Dashboard to track the progress metrics of users in their referral program.
The Rumble app's Minimum Viable Product (MVP) version was created in three months, and the entire app was created in less than six months. The upcoming incremental releases will have many interesting new features.
The Approach
Robosoft team implemented the Agile Scrum practice to develop new features and adapted to the dynamic enhancements and improvements in the baselined requirements. Goals were set clearly for each sprint for the team to achieve.
Two-week sprint plans were followed by Robosoft team running both the Android application development and Admin Panel development simultaneously.
Sprint grooming sessions were also conducted. The entire team was on board to discuss and understand the sprint’s functional and technical requirements, input from each member of the team in estimating the tasks of the sprints were considered.
Daily scrum calls made progress of the team very transparent and problem solving at ease, as the team would suggest different approaches to solve the challenges and problems. With cooperation and collaboration from all the team members, we were able to arrive at solutions quickly. Tasks were prioritized with the involvement of client team and, team worked accordingly in closing the prioritized tasks.
