Background
LaundryMate launched in Bengaluru with a simple promise: pick up laundry from customers’ homes, wash or dry clean it, and return it within 24 hours. Delivering this reliably required more than a consumer app. It required a connected digital ecosystem linking customers, field associates, and operations teams.
Robosoft partnered with LaundryMate to design and build this system from the ground up, delivering a fully integrated three-platform solution in under four months.
The challenges
Addressing the
critical gaps
The solution required three interconnected platforms: for customers, field associates, and operations, all working as one seamless system.
Every garment needed to be individually tracked from pickup to processing and delivery, with no risk of mix-ups or loss.
The platform had to support UPI payments alongside a tiered subscription model to encourage repeat orders.
The entire ecosystem had to be designed, built, and deployed within a tight three-to-four-month timeline.
The architecture needed to scale across cities and eventually support B2B clients such as hotel chains.

The Robosoft solution
We conducted focused workshops with key stakeholders to define requirements, integrations, and delivery priorities before development began.
A microservices-based architecture connected the consumer app, field associate tools, and operations platform into a unified system.
Garment tracking was automated using QR codes and barcodes, enabling accurate monitoring from pickup through delivery.
Core components were designed to be configurable, allowing the platform to adapt easily as the business expands into new markets.

Clear outcomes
that drive growth

The platform architecture supports multi-city expansion and future B2B customers without rebuilding the system.
With 200+ internal users and multiple hubs at launch, the platform maintained 99% uptime for daily operations.
The consumer app achieved a 4.3 rating on the Play Store, reflecting a smooth ordering and delivery experience.
QR and barcode tracking eliminated manual garment management and provided real-time visibility across the workflow.
Centralized processing reduces water usage per load, supporting LaundryMate’s sustainability goals.
